CPCE Council 2021

Church Communion

The Leuenberg Agreement became the founding document of the Communion of Protestant Churches in Europe (CPCE). In the meantime, 110 Protestant churches have declared church fellowship on the basis of the Leuenberg Agreement.

You can find the member churches of CPCE here: Member Churches | Communion of Protestant Churches in Europe CPCE (leuenberg.eu).

In the Communion of Protestant Churches in Europe churches live their fellowship

  • in theological reflection and teaching

  • in the common celebration of worship in word and sacrament

  • in witnessing together to the Gospel and serving society

  • in growing organisational cooperation.

  •

The CPCE (until 2003 "Leuenberg Church Fellowship") has a clear structure. Every six years an Assembly decides on the foundations of its work. Between the General Assemblies a 13-member Council, headed by a three-member Presidium, guides the work, which is coordinated by the office in Vienna.
